I will never understand how there are still people who refuse to tip their server in restaurants. These days if you buy a new wallet there is usually a gratuity guide card placed inside. So really there is no excuse for not tipping when you dine in at a restaurant.
I will break it down. Tipped employees can be paid as little as four dollars per hour in some states. A proper tip for some people can mean the difference between buying diapers or just letting your kid rough it outside for the week.
Unless you are Mr. Pink, and seeing as he is a fictional character you can not and never will be, there is NO excuse to ever tip $1 or less. You are just getting a coffee, fuck off and go to star bucks. Who the fuck has to sit and read the paper in a restaurant? What is this the 1930's?
Now if you don't want to tip, that's fine. Just don't ever eat out anywhere. Make food at your own house and prepare it on a plate and bring it to your table. That is what you are tipping for YOU DUMB FUCK.
